Born in 1980 in South Africa, Kandyse McClure retains her South Africa citizenship, although she now resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She started acting in 1999, after her graduation from acting school, and quickly built up a strong track record of supporting roles in theatrical releases as well as guest-starring in a number of television series (''Dark Angel'', ''Jake 2.0'', ''Andromeda'', and ''The Outer Limits'') and the TV spin-off movie ''LA Law: The Movie'').

She started acting in 1999, after her graduation from acting school, and quickly built up a strong track record of supporting roles in theatrical releases as well as guest-starring in a number of television series (Dark Angel, Jake 2.0, Andromeda, and The Outer Limits) and the TV spin-off movie LA Law: The Movie).

Immediately prior to Battlestar Galactica, she appeared in The DaVinci Inquest, playing series regular "Marla", after previously guest-starring in that series in the role of "Lily".
