== Projects ==

Joe,
I think there should be a link to the projects category (located at Category:Project_Page) in the sidebar under projects. If possible, you could even make the projects heading itself a link. The projects are an important part of the wiki, and it should be easier to see all of them at once. Also, I recall there being a specific "dont bite the newbies page" or something similar, but I cannot find it. Am I imaging things? If there isn't, there should be. I'd be happy to write it and stick it under projects. --[[User:Kraetos|Kraetos]] 00:06, 8 February 2006 (EST)

:It's a Wikipedia policy. See [[Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers|Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers]]. We often defer to Wikipedia policies unless we have a well-articulated reason to disagree with them. --[[User:Peter Farago|Peter Farago]] 00:26, 8 February 2006 (EST)

::Thanks Peter. I was lookin for that. --[[User:Kraetos|Kraetos]] 13:30, 8 February 2006 (EST)

: I don't see the purpose in bringin the article over in this Wiki... However, a link to it on an apporpriate page somewhere wouldn't harm anyone. :-) -- [[User:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|Joe Beaudoin]] 11:00, 8 February 2006 (EST)

:Did you intend for the pages tagged with the Translation template to be included on the projects list? --[[User:Steelviper|Steelviper]] 11:09, 8 February 2006 (EST)

::I think you are referring to {{tl|translation}}... In that case, this was unintentional and I have rectified it. -- [[User:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|Joe Beaudoin]] 15:09, 8 February 2006 (EST)

:::Yep. That was it. I was going to throw in some fancy noinclude tags but you've already resolved it. --[[User:Steelviper|Steelviper]] 08:56, 9 February 2006 (EST)

== Hey, Joe. Hey, Joe! Joe! JOE! Joejoejoejoejoejoejoejoe... ==

Ahem. Sorry 'bout that. I'd like to draw your eye to [[Battlestar Wiki talk:Requested Images#Methods to the Madness|an issue]] you should probably weigh in on. It's not ''that'' kind of issue, so don't get out the User Appriciation Bat just yet. Anyway, when you have a moment... --[[User:Day|Day]] 01:14, 8 February 2006 (EST)

== Hooray for Joe! ==
It's back! Maybe now is a good time to start fleshing out [[Battlestar Wiki:Site support|this page]] a little bit more. I know some talk of t-shirts were mentioned at the frappr site. --[[User:Steelviper|Steelviper]] 11:30, 2 March 2006 (CST)

:Well, it's MOSTLY BACK. I'm getting an error when I view the Recent Changes list. (I do have my recent changes set to group changes by article). Here is the error page that appears when I attempt to open Recent Changes--
::Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 235806 bytes) in home/admin/domains/battlestarwiki.org/public_html/en/includes/ChangesList.php on line 250
:Haven't checked in other locations or saw other errors. I reset my Recent Changes preferences. Looks like the "Enhanced Recent Changes" feature is bugged. Turned it off; all was well. Back on, and page fall down and go boom. I'll keep it off for now. Using Firefox 1.5.1 on Mac OS X; no problems since before site downtime. --[[User:Spencerian|Spencerian]] 21:53, 2 March 2006 (CST)
Hey Joe, any idea why the thumbnails on new pics aren't working? --[[User:Talos|Talos]] 22:05, 2 March 2006 (CST)
: That should be fixed now. Try it out. -- [[User:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|Joe Beaudoin]] 22:08, 2 March 2006 (CST)
::Cool, thanks. The day the Wiki went down was the day I took about a dozen screen shots identifying several new Vipers, some mistakes, the Cylon Virus breaching Gaeta's firewalls, and a really good close-up of the Lt. Insignia with the flush chevron edges that definately proves it's existence. --[[User:Talos|Talos]]
:::The pics for Vipers 2220, 4267, and 7961 aren't working still. Also, the last two pages aren't listed correctly, they're under the "2" heading instead of the proper 4 and 7. --[[User:Talos|Talos]] 22:36, 2 March 2006 (CST)
::::Those three pages load fine on my end.  If you visited those articles prior to my fix, which happened an hour or so ago, then you may need to do a hard refresh of the page. Also, listing the Vipers under the proper numbers should be as easy as correcting the sort key in the <nowiki>[[Category: Vipers]]</nowiki> syntax. -- [[User:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|Joe Beaudoin]] 22:46, 2 March 2006 (CST)

== Main Page/Spoilers is down ==

It says: The database did not find the text of a page that it should have found, named "Main Page/Spoilers". [[User:Dan Korn|Dan Korn]] 01:35, 3 March 2006 (CST)
: It's up.  You may have to do a hard refresh of the page though, just in case your browser cached it incorrectly. -- [[User:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|Joe Beaudoin]] 07:33, 3 March 2006 (CST)

Good host

I saw about your hosting problems... 1&1 is a good host, I've been using them for a while. Their monthly transfer rates start at 250GB per month for 3 dollars. (although that plan is lacking in a few good features... ) Anyhow, I'm not meaning to spam or anything... I just really like my server. --Aggie

Originally we had 1&1 -- however, as they limited the size of their MySQL databases to 100 MB, we were forced to move. -- Joe Beaudoin 13:04, 5 March 2006 (CST)
