I feel that it would be helpful to contain on each character's page a list of all the episodes they have appeared in, or, in the case of the major characters who appear in almost every episode, a list of episodes they do not appear in. What we currently have is this [http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/List_of_character_appearances_(RDM)], which is rather clunky and rarely updated. A better style, I feel, would be to take a page from Memory Alpha, the Trek Wiki, which contains this kind of information on each character page, as in this example [http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Dukat#Appearances].

Now that the series is over, there would be little need for keeping these sections up to date, except for the additional appearances characters will be making in the plan. If we added such a section to character bios, it would be much easier to quickly determine which episodes have, for instance, Kat or Simon. Now, you either have to check each and every citation within the bio, or scour through that matrix of data. A list on each page would be a much simpler and intuitive way to make this information easily available.

This is an archive of a proposal that was vetted through the Think Tank, a place where ideas of all kinds are proposed and worked upon by the community prior to implementation. There was no consensus on how to proceed regarding this proposal. It is therefore rendered inactive, until such a time where it can be revisited after a pre-determined period of time. Please do not modify this proposal.

I feel that it would be helpful to contain on each character's page a list of all the episodes they have appeared in, or, in the case of the major characters who appear in almost every episode, a list of episodes they do not appear in. What we currently have is this [1], which is rather clunky and rarely updated. A better style, I feel, would be to take a page from Memory Alpha, the Trek Wiki, which contains this kind of information on each character page, as in this example [2].

The above is an archive of a proposal that was vetted through the Think Tank. Please do not modify or edit this archived proposal.
