Judging by the evidence in Razor, It seems that the woman killed was not Laird's wife. Prior to the shooting, she is shown being comforted by another man in the crowd who also lays a hand on the young girl assumed to be her daughter. This same man is shown acting horrified and reaching out towards her as she and her daughter are pulled from the crowd by Marines. Based on that, I'd say that Laird's shock was directed more towards the fact that it was the Colonial Military, not the Cylons who just shot those people, rather than it being his wife that was just executed. :: I tend to concur with Pentagonal, Laird's reaction doesn't seem to fit when a family member was killed in front of him. And I'd figure he would at least call out to his wife in horror when they started round up the selectees' family members. -- [[User:Fredmdbud|Fredmdbud]] 08:00, 27 June 2008 (UTC) |

Didn't Laird say that he was onbaord the ship Scylla at the time of the attack? Kuralyov 13:30, 24 September 2005 (EDT)
Laird's probably not the deck chief on Galactica anymore, n'est pas? ...but hopefully Adama didn't make Laird go back to Pegasus after what Cain did to the civilians Rocky8311 01:20, 17 February 2006 (EST)
Has anyone seen Laird lately? I wonder if Adama was merciful to let him and other conscripts leave the service when New Caprica was found and not reactivate them afterwards. Or at least commission him as an officer if his education level allows (which is probable). I could also see Laird collaborating as a New Caprica Police officer during the occupation Rocky8311 22:17, 17 December 2006 (CST)
Wife[edit]
"Pegasus" leaves it somewhat open if his wife was killed, but I think "Razor" heavily implies this with his reaction shots about the dead civilians. I think the woman the camera focuses on at the end is his wife. The camera pans from Laird to her. That's also the one Shaw shoots, so maybe that's why the camera is on her...or both.
On another note, "Razor" doesn't actually establish much new about him, aside from him being the leader of the protesters. So we can probably do without a separate page here. --Serenity 08:11, 8 November 2007 (CST)
