Model Name: Cylon Centurion
Model Designation: 0005
Life Span: Unknown
The Cylon Centurion is a model of Cylon used in various heavy to light labor and military applications. Before the Cylon War, the model earned the nickname of "walking chrome toasters" due to their physical appearance. (Mini-Series)
Physical Appearance[edit]
Cylons are bi-pedaled and, unlike the Cylon Warrior, are apparently not equiped with attached weapons packages. Despite this disadvantage, they can utilize any weapon known to them and are stronger than humankind.
This model averages 6-foot, 6-inches in height and is a silver chrome in color. It is neither a fast model nor extremely efficient, due to its bulk. It's iconic feature is the one Cylon "eye" that glows red and pulsates back and forth in a visor-like slot.
Centurions of this model are run on internal powercells.
Cylon Centurions are likely networked, meaning that they can communicante wirelessly between themselves, and can coordinate their efforts without the need for verbal speech. (Conjecture) This model is apparently capable of directly interfacing with networked computers. (Mini-Series, not directly stated)
The Cylon can last 9 to 10 years without excessive maintenace or need for additional power. (Mini-Series, unstated)
According to Number 6, this Cylon model is still in existance and "has its uses". (Mini-Series)
This model is one of the 12 Models of Cylon.
Source Text[edit]
Some information was gleaned from the paperwork reviewed by the Armistice Officer in the Mini-Series. The only issue with this information is the use of the word "yahren" (term used in the original Battlestar Galactica for a year).
