The Adriatic. --April Arcus 17:03, 15 October 2005 (EDT)

Lee Adama leaves Zarek and his men in control of the Astral Queen[edit]

Who's operating the ship? Does everyone in the future know how to operate a FTL-capable former starliner? Is it so easy, that in a group of random criminals, one would find enough skilled people to adequately run the ship? They probably didn't leave the old crew aboard, under the command of their former prisoners, right? --Bp 15:03, 7 March 2006 (CST)

It stands to reason that a handful of them may be able to adequately run the ship. Obviously, as stated in the episode, the Queen is not totally self-sufficient and relies on the Fleet. It was also implied in "Colonial Day" that there were former prisoners who were technically inclined, as they had fixed a technical issue on Marshall Bagot's ship. -- Joe Beaudoin 15:27, 7 March 2006 (CST)
"dependent for food and fuel", nothing about operational support, And some cons fixed an air-conditioner. I guess I assumed an FTL capable starship (or any starship) was more complicated. Also, the thing has some pretty powerful equipment on board, just the engines even, that could be used to make simple but devastating weapons by some technically inclined individual. Giving up control of the ship was a terrible idea. IMHO. --Bp 16:01, 7 March 2006 (CST)

New Caprica Landing[edit]

This ship is one of the ships seen next to Colonial One in New Caprica. Should we add this? --Sauron18 08 April 2006

Yep, thanks for the catch. --CalculatinAvatar 21:46, 8 April 2006 (CDT)

Doesn't the Astral Queen have a counterpart?--CoreyDanian 10:49 3 October 2006

Yes, the Prison Barge. --April Arcus 19:36, 2 October 2006 (CDT)
Give the ship a proper name please? Prison Barge seems so selective.--CoreyDanian 3 October 2006
If you have a source on the TOS version's proper name, feel free to enlighten us. --April Arcus 22:41, 2 October 2006 (CDT)
The ship from the old series was called the Prison Barge, but I think we should just give a name and submit it to David Eick.--CoreyDanian 3 October 2006
Why would David Eick know what the Prison Barge's official name was from the original series? He is producer on the new series.
Baltar: I'll point out Karibdis for you.. for a price...
Apollo: Your release from the prison barge...
Baltar: Bright lad ! You'll go far...!
It was referred to as the prison barge in dialogue and thats why its on here as that name. It was given no canon official name and i very much doubt it ever will. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 03:16, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

But the Astral Queen is the Prison Barge from TOS. I'm referring to the other Astral-class transport!!!!--CoreyDanian

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I'm not sure I understand your point. --April Arcus 18:12, 9 October 2006 (CDT)
I think that he inferring there is another ship the same type as Astral Queen??? I think that he trying to say that the ship on the ground may not be the Astral Queen? --FrankieG 18:30, 9 October 2006 (CDT)
Corey, TOS and RDM are completely separate from each other. The design and function of the Astral Queen is in honor of the Prison Barge in the 1978 series. In lieu of some of the confusion apparent in this talk page, perhaps you could explain your position further, Corey? -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 19:11, 9 October 2006 (CDT)

By The Way, I'm not referring to the ship on New Caprica. I am reffering to the one in the fleet in those scenes of the fleet passing Galactica.--CoreyDanian 9.57, 24 October 2006
