I feel compelled to make mention of this despite the fact that I can't quite make anything other than a visual reference, but it seems worthy of mention:  the Val Chambers character holds more than a passing visual similarity to Eldon Tyrell of "Blade Runner" fame.  The particular feature that stands out is the glasses.  Tyrell's glasses are nearly identical, and in fact the short perspective shot that's slightly behind and to the side of Chambers' glasses is strikingly similar to one of Tyrell in Blade Runner.  The Daniel Graystone character is much closer to Tyrell in deed and spirit than Chambers, though I imagine if one wants to merely make a nod to "Blade Runner" one wouldn't be so crude as to saddle a long running character with the same eyewear for the duration of the story.

—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Svdasein (talk • contribs).

Probably just a stylistic choice. Barring actual comment from RDM or a crew member, it would just be written off as wishful speculation on our part. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 21:28, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
I just watched the scene in Blade Runner again, and I have to say that if it's a coincidence it's a mighty powerful one. The framing and such just as Roy prepares to kill Tyrell really is uncannily similar. Does RDM read the wiki? I'd sure enjoy hearing his side of it. Svdasein
