Introduction
Hello and welcome to Battlestar Wiki, an encyclopedia of the Battlestar Galactica sagas. My name is [ YOUR BSG WIKI NAME ]. You're about to hear an audio version of a ship page for Space Park.
Script
Part One
The Space Park is an FTL-capable civilian passenger liner that manages escape the destruction of the Twelve Colonies to join the Colonial Fleet.
After the discovery and settlement of New Caprica, the ship is one of the few to remain in orbit - its shape making it impractical or impossible to land. It manages to escape the Cylon blockade of the planet along with battlestars Galactica and Pegasus.
The Space Park is among the first ships taken through the star cluster towards the algae planet and is among the first ships to jump into the Ionian nebula before losing power.
The ship is severely damaged by two missile strikes in the Battle of the Ionian Nebula, but survives and is still capable of flight. A few days later, repairs to the damaged portion of the ring begin.
Approximately two months later, the ring section has been largely repaired and is spinning, but only on occasion.
The Space Park is amongst the group of ships that successfully arrive at Earth.
Part Two
Additional content (including ship detail, notes, and related imagery) is available on the Battlestar Wiki article.
Conclusion
Thank you for listening to an audio version of a Battlestar Wiki ship page.
