Cylon organic resin

The Cylons use an organic resin[1] as a major structural component of their Basestars. The resin is applied to metal as a viscous black paste. In its mature state, the resin is compared to cartilage. The resin is also compatible with Colonial hulls. (No Exit, Deadlock)
