Hawke, I admire your zeal in getting rid of redirects, but I think it's a little questionable for you to alter other user's entries on talk pages. I completely agree with you about editing someone's talk-page entries ''for content'' -- you'll never see me do that sort of thing. -:::If, for example, you are changing all links from "Commander Adama" to "William Adama", I'd think that's okay because you're removing it from the entire wiki.  But if someone is referring to "Scar" the Raider, and they just link to "Scar", which would take them to the episode...just leave it.  Anything more would be nitpicking, because everyone probably understood in context what the person was talking about.  I mean, changing entry links a week or two after the converstation is over would be pushing it. --[[User:Ricimer|Ricimer]] 13:56, 5 February 2006 (EST)
-:::I respect your viewpoints and concerns... I'm only trying to keep technical variances and "database bloat" from occurring by clipping them off as soon as possible. If UserBob links to "Scar (fightercraft)" and we all agree to change the page title to "Scar (Raider)", then a fix of the link is in order, both to clean out the unnecessary redirect and to prevent any new users from assuming that "Scar (fightercraft)" is the page to link to when they create their own entries... which it's not. *deep breath*... Make sense? I've encountered this same problem over on another Wiki that I moderate, and all I ask out of the users is to observe and understand the structure ahead of time. I don't want to intrude on, or edit their creativity or contributions, but I have to make sure that the Wiki ''functions'' smoothly for everyone.
