Quick info about me: I grew up watching Star Trek, Space: 1999 (yes, really), Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers (yes, the cheesy version of the 80s), as well as reading a multitude of books by Roger Zalazny, Issac Asimov and a host of other sci-fi authors. Growing older, I was a huge fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation, but I never got into Deep Space Nine or Voyager. I think a big reason for that was Babylon 5. B5 ruined me on standalone episodes - where everything was neatly resolved within 60 minutes - I had to have a big story arc. With that in mind, I absolutely love the new Battlestar Galactica. Brilliant. Great character focus and development, as well as utilizing the sci-fi genre to examine current social and politcal issues. I'll post more later - just wanted to get a few quick words up.
