The Hybrid and Relation to Kara Thrace

Disclaimer: This is my opinion but I think it's a good one.

The Hybrid who speaks to Kendra Shaw is an allegory for the antichrist. The Hybrid believes himself to be a god which is a trademark of an antichrist type character. This particular Hybrid is the only one encountered in the show that seems to be fully aware and able to interact with it's immediate surroundings. Also, before Shaw can deliver her warning to Lee as the commander of Pegasus the signal is jammed. This begs the question: who initiated the jamming signal? If the Hybrid's intent was to warn anyone other than Shaw, who was about to detonate the nuke then it could only be the One True God who initiated the jamming signal in order to allow Kara to lead the human race to its end.

Kara is an allegory for Jesus Christ. Just as Christ died and was resurrected, so was Kara. In the Christian faith there are angles in heaven who do not directly interact with human beings. Generally, angels only interact with people through dreams or appearances only the intended viewer can see, such as Saint Peter or the three wise men who went to see Jesus born in Bethlaham. Turning to the show: The visions of Six that Baltar speaks to during the show identifies herself as an "angel," and only Baltar and Six can see the angels. These angels can only interact with one person and have only a limited ability to interact with the physical world (the Six "angel" repeatedly punches, chokes and once lifts up Baltar). However, Kara Thrace, after her death can be seen by everyone and even discovers her body on Original Earth. Therefore, Kara, like Jesus, is the representation of the one true God directly influencing events to lead the Human race to it's "end." Also, Kara, like Jesus (who speaks to his father through prayer), speaks to her father (the piano player) who guides her along her path and sheds some more light on the destiny she already knows she must fulfill.
