The Battlestar Sepera is a [[Mercury class battlestar|''Mercury'' class battlestar]] under the command of Admiral Walon. When the [[12 Colonies]] fell, the Sepera was stationed over Virgon. Due to the Admiral's distrust of the [[CNP]], the ship was unaffected by the virus.

The Sepera was second only to the [[Atlantia (RDM)|Battlestar Atlantia]], the Colonial Flagship.

==History==

Shortly before the [[Fall of the Twelve Colonies]], the Sepera was stationed at Perseus Station above [[the Twelve Colonies (RDM) #Virgon|Virgon]]. When the Cylons attacked, the second ship stationed at Perseus Station, the Battlestar Novus, was destroyed almost instantly due to the [[CNP]]. Assigned to oversee security of the [[the Twelve Colonies (RDM) #Virgon|planet]], the Sepera was already in a [[Action Stations|defensive state of alert]]. This allowed the ship to hold off the Cylon attacks long enough for the [[FTL]] drives to spool up.

Assumed destroyed by the [[Galactica]] and the [[Pegasus]], the only other known surviving Battlestars, the Sepera began searching for a new planet to call its own. Unlike the Pegasus and the Galactica, the Sepera headed in the opposite direction. This allowed the ship to escape the bulk of the [[Cylon]] forces, which were preoccupied with the [[Fleet (RDM)|last remnants of hummanity]]
