The '''throne room''' is a chamber apparently standard on all [[Cylons (TOS)|Cylon]] [[basestar (TOS)|basestar]]s.

Typically, the throne room is the location from where the [[Imperious Leader]] receives information from and issues orders to his subordinates ("[[Saga of a Star World]]", "[[Lost Planet of the Gods, Part I]]"). However, upon being furnished his own basestar by the Imperious Leader, [[Baltar (TOS)|Baltar]] issues orders from the room ([[Lost Planet of the Gods, Part I]] & [[Lost Planet of the Gods, Part II|II]]). [[Lucifer]], an [[IL-series]] Cylon, also takes the opportunity to sit in the throne after Baltar's departure to [[Kobol]] ([[Lost Planet of the Gods, Part II]]).

The chamber consists of a raised throne seated in the middle of the circular room, which is spotlighted, as are four additional areas: two areas to the left and right of the throne, the area between the door and throne, as well as the doorway itself. There is no visible means of coming down from the throne, nor is there a visible means of instrumentation or functionality in the throne chamber. The throne itself is capable of swiveling via an electronic mechanism.

There is only one entrance with a pocket door made of glass; the doorway itself is elliptical in design. 

The room is typically unguarded and the doors appear to be activated by motion sensors.

== Notes ==

* From "[[The Young Lords]]" and onward, the throne room is never seen again. Instead, Baltar commands from the [[command chamber]], which likely uses the same prop chair from this set, until Baltar surrenders himself to [[the Fleet (TOS)|the Fleet]] in "[[War of the Gods, Part I]]".
