I think it's a fair bet that ECO means "Electronic Countermeasures Officer". The Raptor is a recon and electronic warfare platform. And today the acronym is ECMO, which is close enough: [1] and [2] for example. --Serenity 06:00, 3 June 2007 (CDT)
- Fair enough. There are variants on the title of the position. Panther 07:32, 3 June 2007 (CDT)
- It's correct that the term hasn't been spelled out on screen, but there is probably enough circumstantial evidence to support it. I'll add a note about it. --Serenity 08:18, 3 June 2007 (CDT)
- I seem to recall as well when the flash version of Sci-Fi's website was about and there was info on the ships the summary on the Raptor called the ECO an Electronic Countermeasures Officer. That info is gone now. Too bad. Panther 03:03, 4 June 2007 (CDT)
