After almost two years, and close to one million cubits of the city's tax dollars, roadwork on Colonial Highway 5 is finally nearing completion.  What was once a road paved with low-grade asphalt and filled with potholes, is now a state-of-the-art roadway.  "Though the repairs have taken longer than expected, we're extremely pleased with the results," said Althea Erasmus from the City of Caprica Department of Public Works "and we think the citizens will be, too."  

The repairs included a thorough re-paving, new guard rails, and a widening of the roadway in some areas.  And with only three days work ahead left to go, the repair team at the DPW is ready to celebrate.  "Though [[Storm of the Century Hits Caprica|that storm]] a while back slowed us down by a good month or so, we're finally in the home stretch," said longtime DPW worker Jonas Malkas.
