[[Ellen Tigh]] is placed aboard a [[Raptor|MEDEVAC Raptor]] hailing from the vessel by [[Number One|John Cavil]] shortly before it departs from [[Picon]] during the Fall {{TRS|No Exit|The Plan}}.  She slips in and out of consciousness aboard the ship for three weeks and is attended to while being cryptically mocked by Cavil before [[William Adama]] locates her {{TRS|Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down}}. She later procures a day-long stay there for her husband and herself, where she apparently meant for him to meet with agents of [[Tom Zarek]] {{TRS|Colonial Day}}.

''{{RDM|Galactica}}''{{'|s}} chief medical officer, Dr. [[Sherman Cottle]], is aboard ''Rising Star'' at the time of the attempted assassination of Commander [[William Adama]] {{TRS|Scattered}}.

The ship's name is notably absent on the [[:Image:Tally chalkboard.jpg|voting tally board]] on ''Galactica'' and the voting tally whiteboard on ''[[Colonial One]]'' {{TRS|Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II}}.

''Rising Star'' survives the exodus from [[New Caprica]], passage through the [[star cluster]] to the [[algae planet]] and the [[Battle of the Ionian Nebula]] before it would be flown into [[Sol]] after the discovery of [[Earth (RDM)|Earth]] {{TRS|Exodus, Part II|The Passage|He That Believeth in Me|Daybreak, Part II}}.

== Notes ==
* The ''Rising Star'' first appeared in the distant background in the establishing shot of the Fleet shortly after escaping [[Ragnar Anchorage]], flying in formation between one of the [[Colonial Movers]] freighters and the ''[[Zephyr]]'' in the distant background as almost a small blob in the background not noticed or distinguished until the release of the Blu-Rays. The ship's first mention would be in "[[33]]", with the first birth in the fleet occurring here as mentioned by [[Billy Keikeya]]. The next mention would be in "[[Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down]]" then "[[Colonial Day]]" and a final mention in "[[Scattered]]" at the beginning of Season Two. The ship would then be seen properly distinguished in "[[Pegasus (episode)]]" flying just beyond [[Pegasus (TRS)|''Pegasus (''TRS)]] and [[Galactica (TRS)|''Galactica'' (TRS)]] in the first shot of the fleet following Admiral [[Helena Cain]]'s arrival. It wouldn't be until "[[Escape Velocity]]" in [[Season 4 (2008-09)]] where it would be part of main fleet formation shots. The ''Rising Star'' would be formally identified in "[[The Plan]]", albeit with a new colour scheme.
* Another vessel of the same design appears in "[[Razor]]" as part of the civilian fleet ''[[Pegasus (RDM)|Pegasus]]'' encounters.
