'''Operation Clean Sweep''' was a [[Colonial Fleet (TRS)|Colonial Fleet]] operation that took place some time prior to Ensign [[William Adama]]'s posting to ''{{RDM|Galactica}}'' in the tenth year of the [[Cylon War|First Cylon War]]. 

Despite attempts by the [[The Twelve Colonies of Kobol|Colonial government]] to put a positive spin on the operation, [[Cylons (RDM)|Cylon]] forces were able to deal a significant blow to the Colonial Fleet.  Comments made by Captain [[Armin Diaz]] to Ensign Adama suggest that the loss of Operation Clean Sweep cut especially deep into the Fleet's supply of [[Raptor]] pilots {{TRS|Blood and Chrome}}.
