Sinclair later approaches Reikle and Diego, telling the STO trainers that he does not want to be involved in whatever conflict arises from Rand's influence over the U-87s. Intrigued by Sinclair's position, Reikle and Diego enlist Sinclair to kill Rand. When the time comes to execute her, Sinclair turns his gun on Reikle and Diego and attempts to shoot them, but the gun is not loaded. Reikle and Diego threaten him at gunpoint but are caught off guard when several other recruits appear and kill the two men. Sinclair and the other rebellious recruits prepare to escape Gemenon but stay when Rand offers another idea — activating the squad of U-87s and commanding them to follow her Here Be Dragons. Rand subsequently stages a coup over the leadership of the monotheist church and assumes the position of Blessed Mother of the monotheist church, with Sinclair serving as her lieutenant Apotheosis (episode).

* According to the podcast commentary, actor Ryan Kennedy and Magda Apanowicz watched the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica together on set during the production of Caprica.
* The writers intended for Odin's relationship with Lacy Rand to be a more "grown-up" and "dangerous" one, contrasting with what Apanowicz described as Lacy's "schoolyard crush" on Keon Gatwick.
