Jolly also helps to discover the [[tylium]] deposits on [[Carillon]] after passing through the [[Straits of Madagon]]. He, [[Serina]], and [[Apollo (TOS)|Apollo]] are subsequently captured and brought to [[Lotay]], Queen of the [[Ovions]].
He is one of the many Viper pilots that are unable to attend the ceremonies since [[Adama (TOS)|Adama]] expects the [[Cylons (TOS)|Cylons]] to attack, and sure enough they do. Jolly comes riding in atop of a landram and drives off the Cylon onslaught as the Colonials flee the Ovions glorified farm.
