It assists in replenishing Roslin's fleet before being forced to make an FTL jump to [[Ragnar Anchorage]]. From there, it is guarded by the battlestar ''{{RDM|Galactica}}'' as the fleet makes an escape towards the [[Prolmar Sector]] {{TRS|Miniseries}}.

The ship received Tylium mined by ''[[Monarch]]'' and ''[[Majahual]]'' following the successful capture of a Tylium asteroid from the Cylons. {{TRS|The Hand of God}}.
A suicide bomber who is part of a [[Demand Peace|peace movement]] within the Fleet damages the forward section of the ''Daru Mozu'', killing several of its crew ([[Epiphanies]]).  


Fleet ships were refueled by pulling along side, and connecting to the ship {{TRS|Home, Part I}}.
It's production facilities are somehow lost to the Colonials sometime after this event, as suggested by Colonel Tigh ([[TRS]]: "[[Dirty Hands]]", "[[A Disquiet Follows My Soul]]"). This could be explained by the ship possibly having sacrificed equipment for the [[New Caprica]] settlement, or to battle damage. The ''Daru Mozu'' can be seen amongst the fleet after the [[Rebel basestar]] jumps away in [[Sine Qua Non]].
 
Around six months after the exodus, a member of [[Demand Peace]] blew a hole in the forward section of the ship, killing herself and several members of the crew. The damage was eventually repaired {{TRS|Epiphanies}}.

The episode "[[Dirty Hands]]" strongly implies that the ''Hitei Kan'' is the only existing refinery ship and thus that the ''Daru Mozu'' has been destroyed or abandoned. If the ship was destroyed, it likely occurs as a result of the ''[[Cloud Nine]]'' explosion in "[[Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II]]" or even as late as "[[The Passage]]", having not survived transit through the [[passage (star cluster)|star cluster]]. If abandoned, it must somehow occur between the jump to [[New Caprica]] and the [[Second Exodus]] ("Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II", "[[Exodus, Part II]]").
