If none of the Battlestar Wiki senior chiefs are available, maybe contacting someone outside would be helpful:  "Paul Gu" and "pair Networks" are listed at the very bottom of each page. :: Over a year has passed and nothing happened in between. Can it be so hard to repair the german "recent changes" function? I am not able to control what happens on the german wiki without that function. And I do not want to work on new edits without this function. What if Joe has gone too? Will that be the end of this wiki?
:I imagine it would be closed only if Joe instructs the hosting company to close it.  If it's clear to Paul Gu and/or the company hosting the wiki that Joe is no longer active, and they see that it's active contributors who are requesting a transfer of ownership and not just some stranger to the wiki, I would be willing to bet that they would transfer it.  There are enough references to the Battlestar Wiki on Wikipedia and other sites to argue that the site should remain up and running as a general resource. -- [[User:BlueResistance|BlueResistance]] 22:59, 15 August 2014 (EDT)
:: My demise has been greatly exaggerated. That said, I am just as concerned about continuity of things as you are, and will be putting out feelers to ensure that there's a sense of continuity to things... as, frankly, a lot of the continuity methods basically went out the window after the show left the air, and all of the senior chiefs have pretty much "retired" at this point.

:::::: For the record, I started over a new French semantic wiki about BSG. You can find it at http://battlestar.wiki/. For the moment it doesn't have a lot of articles yet the semantic works well and I updated the look using the Vector skin to fit BSG look with a bit of modernity. --[[User:LIMAFOX76|LIMAFOX76]] 13:13, 20 February 2016 (EST)
::::::: I see no end to this. Forking a project when the original project stalls is not a good idea. There were more than 2000 articles on the french wiki here. Do you want to rewrite all that? Surely there must be a better way. Looks like Joe is really busy with work and family. :::::::: There weren't 2000 but only 450 articles when the wiki worked well. I know it because many of them have been written by myself. 4 years ago the wiki lost all its articles but two. The database has been corrupted and nothing get better since. I tried to reach Joe by different ways with no success. So one does need a way to try to revive the wiki. I found this one. It's working well and I can retreive all th written stuff on Archive.org. I don't blame Joe as I do have a family too and a job. :::::::::: Actually it's not an issue about giving or selling the "keys" to a thrustworthy person. I think Joe is wise enough to find somebody of this kind. No the issue is the wiki host server itself that cost money every month. As I read on Facebook it's about of "giving" to this person all databases and pictures, and let him put all of them on another host (may be less ambitious and less costly of course) without any major support of frakmedia (if it still exist).
