* ''{{alt|Pegasus|TOS}}'' jumps away from the two {{alt|Cylons|TOS|Cylon}} {{alt|basestar|TOS}}s that they attacked at {{alt|Gamoray}}.
* [[Tyr]] reports that the majority of damage occurred on ''Pegasus''{{'|s}} portside, and that the engines barely managed the lightspeed jump. With low fuel, they're able to only sustain forward motion until they can replenish. Furthermore, the hull is damaged, but can be repaired given time.
* {{alt|Cain|TOS}} replies that, with their engines dead and ''{{alt|Galactica|TOS}}'' also believing them to be dead, they have nothing but time.
* Two [[sectar]]es later, Cain records a letter to {{alt|Sheba}}. He notes that he considers giving up command, so that he may relieve himself of the burden and rest while thinking about his daughter's fate. He further notes that repairs to the hull are as complete as they can make them.
* His executive officer, [[Iollas]], enters his quarters without knocking. Cain chides him for this, and they discuss whether or not {{alt|Earth|TOS}} exists; Cain believes it doesn't, and that it is a "fairy tale" that {{alt|Adama|TOS}} and his flock of survivors tell themselves in order to get through their exodus from their destroyed Colonies.
* Cain receives a call from the bridge, asking for his presence. 
* Tyr reports that they're receiving a distress beacon from a dead planet, which activated shortly after they entered the sector. Before they can discuss further, they receive a direct hail from a bi-pedaled creature. She asks if they are "hoomans," to which Cain replies in the affirmative. She requests a face-to-face meeting on the planet surface. 
* Iollas offers to go to the surface in Cain's stead, but Cain dismisses the offer.

* For the [[Re-imagined Series]], this issue takes place following [[Gaius Baltar]]'s return in "[[Rapture]]" and before "[[The Son Also Rises]]."

* As is the case throughout the ''Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica'' series, the artistic depictions of the ships (and even persons) between the two different universes are either interchanged, or swapped entirely. 
** In the case of the basestar on the first story page, the [[Re-imagined Series]] {{RDM|basestar}} is depicted, but it should have been the [[Original Series]] version given that it depicts the [[Battle of Gamoray]] where ''{{TOS|Pegasus}}'' engages two basestars in close quarters combat.
* With regard to characters, ''Pegasus'' executive officer [[Tolan]] that had been featured in "[[The Living Legend]]" is unmentioned&mdash;and quite possibly either forgotten about or ignored by the author for reasons unknown&mdash;and an older character named [[Iollas]] assumes this role instead. Of note, Iollas himself is neither seen nor mentioned in future issues of {{comics|vs}}.
