* Compositing - Blending live-action with CG, miniatures and matte paintings
* Matte painting - Digitally painted images and full CG environments

Atmosphere Visual Effects won a [[Awards#Visual Effects Society Awards|VES Award]] in 2006 for ''Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Broadcast Program, Commercial, or Music Video'' from their work on the Cylon CG, an award they were previously nominated in 2005.
