What if the colonists and the cylons are our ancestors? They will arrive on earth in our past. This gives rise to our Greek Mythology. We are the descendants of Hera. We are cylonic humanoids. Our descendants will venture into space with this knowledge and find Kobol and the 12 colonies. They will build the cylon machines who will wage war against them with the purpose of bringing them back to search for earth so that they can be created in the first place. A temporal loop, similar to the one in Terminator. Just a thought...
