Why can't they just build a new one?  It doesn't make sense that with their (necessarily presumed) massive industrial and technological base on their homeworld (what they used to build the first fleet) they can't just build a second hub.  Nothing is irreplaceable. Earlier appearances of the Hub?

The set design of the Hub looked like the Resurrection Room seen in "Downloaded" (visible at the bottom of this page) which doesn't fit in with any other Cylon architecture we've seen. Also, it seems quite likely that the giant room the Threes were boxed in at the end of "Rapture" was on the Hub. It's unlikely to ever be confirmed, but that might've been the intent of making the interior of the Hub look the way it did. -- David cgc 16:05, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
