Statements about Willie Adama[edit]
Have there been any official statements from the Caprica creators on their reasoning behind the head-fake of Willie not actually being the Bill Adama of BSG? I know there are lots of fan reasonings for why it makes sense (the age, the eye color, etc.) but curious as to whether any of the writers or producers could give some insight into their thought processes. - The most I recall hearing about it officially is that the final decision was made after the first ten episodes were filmed, but before they aired, in this interview. http://www.capricatimes.com/the-caprica-times-exclusive-interview-kevin-murphy The numbers added up in the first leaked script (set 52 years before the mini, with an 8-year-old Willie), but then they adjusted the timeline to have some buffer before the start of the war, and they cast an older kid. I'd guess they were talking about how to deal with a 70-year-old EJO Adama and a 30-year-old Razor Adama as soon as they made that tweak, before they ultimately settled on "two Williams." -- David cgc 17:05, 5 April 2013 (EDT)
