The Battlestar Galactica Role Playing Game is a tabletop role-playing game based on the Re-imagined Series and published by Margaret Weis Productions, Ltd.. The game is designed using the Cortex System, the rules engine created by MWP for their RPG based on Joss Whedon's Firefly TV series and its motion picture continuation, Serenity.
A Quickstart Guide of the game was released as a paid downloadable PDF in August 2007[1] , with the core product later the same month premiering at Gen Con 2007 in Indianapolis. The core book will be made available for wide release in September 2007[2].
