Thatguybil stumbled on to Battlestar Galactica one after moving out of the city and getting a Ku-Band satalite dish because as he put it "the stix don't have cable". He was introduced to the SciFi Channel, which back then ran mostly a mix of Transformers, SDF-1, Lost in Space, and some silly show with robot dogs and people saying Frack.
Fast forward a few years and he stumbles on a mini serries called BattleStar Galactica...
