I never really watched the old series, though I vaguely remember Boxey and his dog. I didn't think I'd like the new series, and kept resisting my friends' urges to watch it, but eventually one of them lent me the first two seasons and I became totally hooked. I own everythng of the new series on DVD and never miss an episode if I can help it.
