Guardian basestar

Template:Razor Basestar that some of the original Cylons escaped on at the end of the First Cylon War. Contains a crew of the original mechanoid Centurion Cylons and the First Hybrid. The design of the ship is more similar to the original series configuration but is not quite the same. It's seems to be a cross between the original series Basestar and the new series Basestar. It has become a legend among the Cylons as no one knows for sure if it exists. At the end of the first war Admiral Adama, then a Viper Pilot, was shot down over an ice planet and encountered a facility where humans were being experimented on to create Hybrids. He was unable to free the survivors as the facilty began to collapse but outside he witnessed the launching of this particular Basestar although he was unaware of what it really was at the time. Eventually it came upon a science team from the Pegasus examining a supernova and captured them to experiment upon. A Viper Patrol encountered some of it's Raiders which are also a different configuration and flown by Centurions and was forced to do battle with them. The Vipers won and one was shot down in Pegasus' landing bay. After learning what it was from Sharon Agathon and finding its location in the crashed Raider's computer the Pegasus launched an attack and rescue mission on it starting the Battle of the Guardian Basestar. While the Basestar and its fighters where distracted fighting Pegasus a Raptor jumped in with a rescue team and a nuke. The Raptor was destroyed but the team managed to escape detection and boarded the Basestar. They found the science team and saved them but were discovered by the crew who attacked them. One of the rescue team was killed and the commander, Major Kendra Shaw was badly wounded and the team was pinned down. The Basestar jammed comunications and Pegasus prepared to launch a nuclear missle to take it out but stopped when Starbuck managed to contact them when the jamming went down. The nuke's remote detonator was down and the team had to detonate it manually. Another Raptor came back for the survivors and Shaw stayed behind to detonate the nuke. The Hybrid gave her a warning about Starbuck but due to jamming she wasn't able to inform Pegasus. Shaw detonated the nuke and the Guardian Basestar was destroyed.
