Technician in Valley of Darkness
As I was working on this page, I realized that I forgot the name of the deckhand that Lee's group found in the small arms locker on deck 12... He's the one in the yellow uniform and he also had a small role in "Litmus"... -- Joe Beaudoin 00:22, 23 Jul 2005 (EDT)
- It started with a "J" and at one point, when Lee said it, I thought he was calling him "Tarn" so it must be similar to that. Other than that, I'm stumped - although I taped the episode for a friend, I'll remember to keep my ears open when I re-watch it. Kuralyov 01:09, 23 Jul 2005 (EDT)
- He was called Jammer. At least...that sounds right. Yes. It's Jammer...just watched it again.-- YeNguyen 23 July 2005 (EST)
Kobol Questions
Regarding the relativly recent skulls found on Kobol, perhaps there are humans or humano-cylons living there, after the exodous. While Tyrol said that they were attacked by Cylons has there been any visual proof of that? There is also the possiblity it was an automated defense system since Tyrol and Cali were not pursued and it appears that the bullets were all hitting the same general area w/o much movenment. -- Danno Ferrin 10:19 MST, 23 July 2003
- I believe that they are Cylons; we just didn't see them. Of course, they probably wouldn't full out attack given that Baltar is with them -- it wouldn't be in the best interest of the Cylon's plan to massacre the whole party but leave Baltar alive. -- Joe Beaudoin 10:25, 24 Jul 2005 (EDT)
Is that the same Centurion model?
I'm not sure the Centurions that boarded the Galactica were the same model we've seen before. It was dark, but I think their color may have been gold instead of silver, and they were much harder to kill -- Helo took down at least one with his pilot's sidearm, but Apollo's had no effect. Could they have been special shock troops? -- JohnReese
- Are you referring to 33, where Helo dispatched two Centurions with a claymore? If so, Helo only took the surviving Centurion down after the claymore ripped its body in half... -- Joe Beaudoin 10:24, 24 Jul 2005 (EDT)
- No, I think he's referring to the one Helo got twice in You Can't Go Home Again and the one that he shot once in Litmus. I doubt he was using explosive rounds but they did make huge holes in the Centurions anyway. You have to realize that Apollo's sidearm is a different build, and the sidearm Helo has may be able to take armor-piercing rounds or something. That's what I'm guessing. -- YeNguyen 12:39, 24 Jul 2005 (EST)
- Another possibility is that the Cylons on Caprica don't want to kill him, but only mean to make him feel like he is in mortal danger, so he becomes more emotionally reliant on Sharon in order to survive. I however think it is more likely that the ammunition he is carrying is explosive. You see him in the Mini-Series shoot the guy attempting to jump on the Raptor as Sharon is taking off, and the impact exploded with guts flying out. RDM even talked about the explosive handgun during the DVD commentary as an idea he got from Bladerunner. OTOH if those were the same explosive rounds in Sharon's gun when she shot Adama... --Laven 04:20, 25 Jul 2005 (EDT)
- No, the gun that Sharon had when she shot Adama was the type that we've seen close-up before. One barrel and bullet-sized. So, regular ammo I'm supposing. I also listenined to the DVD commentary. I'm guessing the difference in damage lies in the firearms. Though there might be a resourceful side of Helo that we don't know...
