Lloyd Bridges portrayed Commander Cain in the original Battlestar Galactica. His son Beau Bridges currently plays General Hank Landry in Stargate SG-1 and has also appeared as the same character in the spin-off series Stargate Atlantis, both of which air on the Sci-Fi Channel opposite Battlestar Galactica.
