I'm Marcel Damen and I live in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I started out as a fan of the original series back in 1978 when I was 8 years old and started loving the new series from the moment it was on (of course I had my doubts as any other original series fan, but I truly love the new series as much as I do the original series.

For my signature collection (Battlestar Galactica Autographs and Photos) I tracked down about 150+ cast/crew of the original series together with my good friend Mike Egnor. This collection was noticed by convention organizers and in 2005 I helped organizing two of the biggest Battlestar Galactica reunions here in Europe. First was Memorabilia in Birmingham (UK) and the other was Screenheroes in Utrecht (Netherlands). Both had 9 main cast.

At the convention contacts were tightened and friends were made. This ;ed to building websites for Anne Lockhart (Sheba), Terry Carter (Col. Tigh) and Noah Hathaway (Boxey).

The return of signatures were often guided by nice letters and stories of some of the more rare cast members (guest parts) who were pleasantly surprised by our request and letter. This made Mike and me think of a way of publishing these stories.

GALACTICA.TV, the website that focuses on all the people in front of and behind the camera of all Battlestar Galactica series, is the site we created for that. We offer new stroies and interviews every two weeks in an online magazine. The cast we interviewed of the new series was pleasantly surprised by our interviews and interest. This helped building a database of contacts for that series as well. When I offered to build Leah Carins (Racetrack) a website after I pleasantly spoke to her for a couple of hours, she immediately said yes. So I'm now working on that.

I spend most of my time editting (and designing) the websites and contributing to sites like these on the cast/crew. If anybody who reads, likes our website wants to join our team as well: let me know!
