Senior command officer aboard a Colonial battlestar, charged with:

  • Monitoring the ship's Dradis system
  • Managing the ship's offensive / defensive weapons systems
  • Overseeing the ship's FTL systems, and plotting jumps
  • Supporting the Commander and Executive Officer in the performance of their duties.

Aboard the Galactica, the role of Tactical Officer is fulfilled by Lieutenant Gaeta.
