*With the Resurrection Ship out of range, the Cavils were at risk of permanent death in this battle. They certainly took steps to avoid dying themselves. Although they immediately took out the FTL drives, the defenders still had their weapons batteries and raiders. The Cavils may have deployed all of their weapons at once and jumped away without waiting to verify the outcome, or they may have pounded the defenders until the survivor began returning fire, and jumped away at that point. • With the Resurrection Ship out of range, the Cavils were at risk of permanent death in this battle. They certainly took steps to avoid dying themselves. Although they immediately took out the FTL drives, the defenders likely had some weapons batteries and raiders left for defense. The Cavils may have deployed all of their weapons at once and jumped away without waiting to verify the outcome, or they may have pounded the defenders until the survivor began returning fire, and jumped away at that point.
