In the commentary by Ron Moore for that episode, he does say that the tunnel scene is a bit of an homage to the Death Star tunnel scene in Return of the Jedi, but more realistic because it doesnt happen at 500mph nor seem impossible to navigate through, just difficult.  But I would say that the rest of the battle is not similar at all, the decoys, the hidden fighters, etc.

Star Wars Similarities

Personally, I felt there were more similarities than just the tunnel scene. It seemed a lot like the battle on the Death Star:

The last remaining one-man fighter in an outnumbered and desparate force drops two warheads onto a precise spot to destroy an installation.

Just a thought.
