I thought Faru Sadin was an Arabic or Turkish name shouldn't it be pronounced Faah-ru Sa-deen? Emphasis saDIN. Instead of the lazy way they put the name together. Maybe someone should ask a language expert. Anyway btw Ron Moore does say "Faru Sadin" in The Passage podcast so actually the Fanu Sadin article should be nominated for deletion. :Yeah, they do kind of just mumble it. And yes, there was some controversy over whether it was ''Faru Sadin'' or ''Fanu Sadin'', so we kept the redirect. Shouldn't this article be merged with this one? http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Fanu_Sadin --lordmutt 22:58, 30 December 2006 (CST)
I guess not --lordmutt 23:16, 1 January 2007 (CST)
- No, your right it should be. However, I dont have a recording of the episode to check which spelling is correct. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 02:57, 2 January 2007 (CST)
- This spelling is correct, I just watched the episode. I can post a screengrab if need be. -Madbrood 08:51, 2 January 2007 (CST)

I have merged this article with Fanu Sadin as requested above. This article can be deleted. JubalHarshaw 13:08, 9 January 2007 (CST)
- Wait, I'm confused. Which is the correct spelling? Either way, the articles now contain duplicate info. Please delete whichever one is the wrong spelling. JubalHarshaw 13:10, 9 January 2007 (CST)
- Help me! I'm caught in an infinite merge loop! Just let me know which is the correct spelling and I'll kill the other. Looks like Fanu is supposed to be correct? --Steelviper 13:18, 9 January 2007 (CST)
- Re-reading the above for about the thousandth time, I'm thinking that Faru Sadin is the correct spelling, as it says "This spelling is correct" (meaning, this article). JubalHarshaw 13:23, 9 January 2007 (CST)
- Gotcha. Instead of deleting I just did a redirect. Just in case anybody else is confused. I changed the one non-user, non-talk page that pointed there, so it shouldn't be much of an issue. --Steelviper 13:40, 9 January 2007 (CST)
Pronunciation?
I thought Faru Sadin was an Arabic or Turkish name shouldn't it be pronounced Faah-ru Sa-deen? Emphasis saDIN. Instead of the lazy way they put the name together. Maybe someone should ask a language expert. Anyway btw Ron Moore does say "Faru Sadin" in The Passage podcast so actually the Fanu Sadin article should be nominated for deletion. - Yeah, they do kind of just mumble it. And yes, there was some controversy over whether it was Faru Sadin or Fanu Sadin, so we kept the redirect. Redirects are cheap, and help point people to the correct article. The principle is similar to Margaret Edmonson and Margaret Edmondson. --Steelviper 12:58, 8 May 2007 (CDT)
