"Following such authorization, any officer aboard ship with sufficient rank to order weapons fire - the Executive Officer, for example - may order the release of the missiles."...
...isn't fanwanking. It's no more deduction than can be seen in many other articles. Adama said "Release of nuclear weapons is now authorized." Adama said that. Not Roslin. He would only say it if other people with sufficient rank or position could order the actual firing as well. And Tigh acknowledged that with a "Sir"
:Yeah. The only reason I put that in the article in the first place is because I'm sure I read it somewhere else on the wiki. Not to worry though, I suppose it '''is''' conjecture. I mean, I doubt Tigh would release the weapons on his own, it's still a pretty big call. But if Adama/Roslin were incapacitated somehow, he would be able to without breaking any rules. -[[User:Madbrood|Madbrood]] 06:12, 31 December 2006 (CST)
::Yes, it's conjecture, but not really baseless fanwanking. Its removal doesn't hurt the article though. Just saying. And I agree that Tigh probably wouldn't do it in a controled situation like this, but maybe in a heated combat situation when Adama becomes incapicitated --[[User:Serenity|Serenity]] 06:16, 31 December 2006 (CST) |

Valkyrie
Good shout with the Valkyrie reference, Serenity. Totally forgot about that! -Madbrood 10:09, 30 December 2006 (CST)
- No problem. It's not really the same as that was more of an "air-to-air" missile than an "ICBM" (to use analogies), but I don't see why they couldn't use them or similar missiles for orbital bombardments. Maybe some further rewording is in order, to point out that difference.
- Btw, as for your problem with the pictures. There is something wrong with Mediawiki and it won't work. You should comment out the pictures for now --Serenity 10:18, 30 December 2006 (CST)
