About the botanical cruiser in the series. I noticed that ship too, but are we sure it's the same type? I think the domes are smaller and obviously it's FTL capable. And it appears in so many different shots - also ones that have new activity, like Boomer's return to the fleet when she finds Kobol - that it can't be just stockfootage from the mini-series.
