I may've figured it out playing with my user page. I had to add seriven in the right place and even if I left it undefined, it tamed the problem. : Philwelch, you need to go in and add "|servicen=" (sans quotes) into each and every page that uses the template, otherwise it will print out the code.  As for how many people we can actually use these in, I imagine only two: Boomer and Helo.
