Are the lower numbers older? I'm certainly not suggesting they were counting backwards (THAT would be a recipe for disaster... or for numbers 0 through -infinity), but I wonder if it was an incremental process or if they just decided to develop twelve different "flavors" at the same time. He's going to keep those unrevealed Cylon model numbers as an ace up the sleave, I imagine. ESPECIALLY model number 1, who even if they were all created at the same time would possess a numerical position of importance (at least in the eyes of the viewer). If humans were developing Cylons (the Cylon?... stupid plural) Number One would definitely be older, with the later models gaining the advantage of experience with the process. A machine might more readily be able to undertake the task to do them all at once. I have a hard time imagining the new toasters going from tearing apart some Colonials, to tree-planting, to "Hey lets make some biological models."
