I understand your problems with the new series; it took a while for many of us to wrap our heads around it; so immersed were we all in the science fantasy schtick that successive SF shows did to our sensibilities. Not that the original BSG wasn't an interesting show, but it was a rather confusing mass of things that sometimes used technology to drive the story more than its characters. Thankfully there are plenty of TOS articles that could use your insight, and you have a home here for that as well as any thoughts on the new series. You might want to see the Naturalistic science fiction article to see Ron Moore's concepts about the show and why things are what they are. The SF show "Firefly" worked in a similar vein, and it made for good drama. | I understand your problems with the new series; it took a while for many of us to wrap our heads around it; so immersed were we all in the science fantasy schtick that successive SF shows did to our sensibilities. And, and [[ | And, and Serena--who COULD think pure thoughts when you see Jane Seymour. Damn. Have fun on the wiki. --Spencerian 10:59, 24 December 2005 (EST)
:Thanks for the kind welcome. I do hope to help out on some of the TOS pages, though it is going to require the DVD episodes to be done right. One does not want to trust to the glow of intermittent memory on something such as this. I did read the Naturalism article and I certainly see what the creators are aiming at. What I saw of Firefly, I liked, though Joss Whedon should have his license for "waif who secretely kicks ass" revoked for a few years, just so someone else can drive it. | :Thanks for the kind welcome. I remain a huge fan of Babylon 5 as well.--Jasontondro 12:15, 24 December 2005 (EST)
