As you may already know, Battlestar Wiki covers all the ''Battlestar Galactica'' series from past to present, in addition to authorized merchandise and [[BW:SEPCON|separate continuity]] materials such as comics and tie-in novels. '''We do not cover fan fiction.''' We're also not a discussion site, although we do have an ever-growing [http://www.battlestarforum.com Battlestar Forum] where people can discuss the various shows and non-BSG topics as well!

To get started on the wiki, we suggest that you check out our [[BW:TUT|tutorial]], experiment in [[BW:SAND|the sandbox]] (a test editing area for those learning wiki code), and review some of our basic [[BW:POL|policies]] (which have important differences from other SF wikis). For some general questions and answers about the navigation and operation of the Wiki, check out the [[Battlestar Wiki:FAQ|Frequently Asked Questions]] (FAQ).

Of course, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you are more than welcome to bring them up at the [[BW:CN|Chiefs' noticeboard]] (which is frequented by the administrators of the Wiki) and at the [[BW:GQ|Galactipedians' Quorum]] (which is the hub for contributors, who are called "Galactipedians").

== Margaret Edmonson ==

Hi Flatulist,<br/>Thank you for editing in this wiki. But I see an issue on an article. You made a big remove on the [[Margaret Edmonson]] article. Is it possible to explain why did you remove the infobox, many informations and all the categories and interwikies. I hope it's only an error. I just reverted your edits on this article. All articles, especially characters have a guideline. See [[Battlestar Wiki:Standards and Conventions|this link for the standards and conventions here]] in Battlestar Wiki. Hi LIMAFOX76 ... I took a look at it and I see where it was corrected - all I can think of is that it was a bad error on my part, because it shows me as the one that did it - but it was certainly not intentional and I think the article is great ... thank you for letting me know that I did it though, I'm glad it was caught and corrected as fast as it was - if you ever see me do anything like that that doesn't make sense, it was probably an accident ... I have broken up a few pages into smaller paragraphs, but I wouldn't normally delete any info unless I was absolutely sure it was incorrect and I knew that other people would agree, and then I would only do it to minor errors - I had an editing window open for [[Racetrack]] during a recent Firefox lock-up and all I can think of is that it somehow happened during that without me knowing - thanks again, see you around - Chris

---  update - I saw how much of the page I actually deleted and I'm surprised so much of it was removed without me noticing right away - that would have certainly made the article look terrible compared to the restored version ... I'm going to keep a close eye out for anything like that happening on my account from now on, please let me know if you ever see more than a sentence or two disappear from any pages I have edited ... so far I'm more interested in adding information to pages that I know about instead of deleting other edits - I honestly haven't found many errors on anything besides a few tail number mix-ups on Vipers and little things like that - thanks again for telling me about this on here -- [[User:Flatulist|Flatulist]] 22:15, 17 April 2012 (EDT)
