| I've been searching for sources that say the vipers of B&C are infact MKIII's, but I can find none. I do know, however, that Adama has to fly a Viper MKII at some point in time during the war, and that he is shown doing so in the Razor flashbacks, during Operation Razor Talon. This occurs after the events of B&C. I strongly believe that the facts indicate the vipers of B&C are MKI's, not MKIII's as everyone seems to assume. | : Watch the scene where Ozar (Osiris' commander) instructs her officers to requisition the "new Mark IIIs" to aid Kelly's mission (she's climbing down a latter after Coker, Adama, and Kelly first arrive). Also, Doug Drexler (CG Supervisor for the show) made the point of saying that there were Mark IIIs and Mark IIs throughout the fleet at this point. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 15:03, 7 December 2012 (EST)

| :Yea they are deffinately Mark IIIs. Its very common in wartime for older models to be still fully in service when new models are already being produced. If there is a Mark I in this series its similar in design to the TOS viper and thats just since the TOS is briefly seen in the museum during the miniseries in one shot. | No. At that width the Viper would not even fit into the tubes (approx 6 to 6.3 meters wide). It seems that they shrunk it down in size for B&C. Until an official source shows otherwise, we cannot rely on the diagram, or Drolet's site. Given that the model used in the diagram is far less detailed then the one in the show it could be that it is inconsistent. Phalanx-a-pedian 14:42, 10 March 2013 (EDT)

| :I'm not so sure, take a look at the photo on the main page of the Viper Viper in the hanger deck, I think the sizing is spot on. Would we not be able to determine a size with the people standing next to it?

| ::Without knowing the exact size of the people and how the perspective & their pose effects the measurements the error margin would be too large. If they are the size that Drolet wanted them, they would not fit in the launch tubes. Phalanx-a-pedian 05:42, 12 March 2013 (EDT)

| ::: Maybe the launch tubes were larger? But that wouldn't make much sense, then again what in B&C does? :-/

| ::::You can check the final shot of Adama launching but I do not think that is possible unless the entire ship were bigger. There really isn't any wiggle room between the tubes and the ribs. | Yea the perspective view of the MK III would be perfect for a main picture for this page. The current pics from onscreen aren't nearly as clear as this. VARGR 17:12, 1 February 2013 (EST)

| **Looks great.

| |
| Some new images of the Viper III model have been shown. One of these might suit for the main picture better.
