::Nothing new there. That happened earlier as well with some tracks. They don't simply take the music from TV and put them on CD. Some things are re-recorded, or sometimes they were cut down for TV in the first place, thus making the CD version the original one. Usually that's for the better; for example the full version of "Black Market" or the addition to "Admiral and Commander". The only time I was really annoyed was the added guitars to "Lords of Kobol" because they change the whole tempo and feel of the track. "Storming New Caprica" is really similar enough that I don't care.

::The fanfare at the jump is really the Starbuck theme which appears a lot in the series. Sometimes it's also used for triumphant moments in general. --Serenity 10:46, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

::Also, starting from the last 48 seconds or so of "Worthy of Survival" from the Season 2 soundtrack is used for when the Pegasus shows up, instead of what was in the actual "Storming New Caprica" track. Duodecimal 15:56, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
:Darn, better or not, wish I could have it ;p. Yeah I heard that fanfare theme a few times in such victorious scenes. Nonetheless, does the theme I'm referring to exist in previous soundtracks then - since it's more or less Starbuck's theme? Lork
::It exists as leitmotif in variations, played with different instruments. Most notably in "Starbuck on the Red Moon" where it originated, "Forgiven" and "Flesh and Bone". It also make a small appearance in "Prelude for War". --Serenity 08:07, 25 October 2007 (CDT)

:Yeah, that would be a good idea. The press releases don't really add much useful information to the articles anyways IMO. --Serenity 09:31, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

- Wouldn't Heeding the Call be both Crossroads, Part I and II? --Captainmontgomery 17:34, 19 January 2008 (CST)
: Possibly, but that's not what the booklet says. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 00:32, 20 January 2008 (CST)
::I guess they just list the first appearance. Battlestar Sonatica has been used in pretty much every episode between Torn and Rapture, but only Torn is listed. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 05:13, 20 January 2008 (CST)
:The track might use a common theme, but it's specifically the piece where Tigh and co. discover that they're Cylons, the Fleet jumps into the nebula and Lee decides to man a Viper. --Serenity 05:37, 20 January 2008 (CST)
