| I was wondering when someone would find the link between Second Variety and the re-imagined Cylons... | :Yeah, this doesn't warrant an own article. But I'd go so far to say that it's not worth noting that the Cylons just happen to have a similarity to one, or the, first scifi stories to feature killer robots. Of course they do. Everything has been doe before one shape or another. A real, confirmed inspiration for the human Cylons is Blade Runner though, which is also based on a story by Phillip K. Dick. --Serenity 04:32, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

| :It may merit mention elsewhere, but not an article on the wiki. We can always link to a WP article on the story. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 07:32, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

| ::I removed it from Cylons (RDM) as that's really a portal. An appropriate page could be Cylon Centurion, but I still don't think that it's really relevant. --Serenity 07:46, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

| :::I can find even more connnections to the man-machine themes in Battlestar and The Matrix. Doesn't mean that they need to be mentioned on Battlestar Wiki. The Blade Runner stuff is coincidental, too; plenty of aired SF has used androids prior to Dick's stories. Concur on speedy delete. --Spencerian 07:52, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

| ::::I've updated the Cylon History article with relevant notes on Dick and his stories per the original article (now deleted). --Spencerian 10:08, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
