Rather than "''the'' resistance group on Caprica," maybe "''a'' resistance group" would be better?

Is there a definitive statement made in "Resistance" or "The Farm" that Anders' resistance group is the only one on Caprica?  If there isn't, there arguably may be others well outside the Delphi region and on other continents, with no way of knowing that other cells even exist, much less communicating with them. --[[User:BlueResistance|BlueResistance]] 14:57 EST, 9 Nov 2005

:My two cents...obviously Caprica is a big world with many places to hide or avoid the initial attack, as the Buccaneers did. And the Cylons obviously found plenty of survivors (albeit female--they may have culled the males or run human male farms!) to fill their farms. Despite the saturation nuclear bombing of the Twelve Colonies, large groups of humans are easy to nail, but individual humans are harder, and with their occupation and unknown plans for the Colonies themselves, the Cylons are not going to further destroy a colony with more nukes just to get rid of a handful of meddlesome humans. So they have to resort to eradication of these human "insurgents" as does our US military with managing Iraqi/Muslim/Ba'thist extremist insurgents. This takes time. Similar things are likely happening on the other colonies, given the laws of averages and luck, but since we don't know of them, and because ''Galactica'' only knows of the one resistance movement, IMHO, it's appropriate now to say "the resistance" or for clarity, "the Caprica resistance." --[[User:Spencerian|Spencerian]] 16:17, 9 November 2005 (EST)

::There are probably scattered other holdouts of humans, of course.  This is just the one closest to Delphi, which was one of the handful of cities ''intentionally'' spared from nuking (I hate it when newbies on the messageboards keep going "Why is Delphi still there?  That's a plot hole!" when RDM said in the commentary that it was intentional, just unexplained.  Anyway, RDM has said that there were farms for both men and women, and on all colonies not just Caprica. :Andrew and Anders both come from the greek word ''Andros'' which means "man." According to what I've read, Anders (the first name anyway) is the Scandinavian form of Andrew. Andros is where we get things like Alexander (Defender of Man) and Android (robot in form of man). So, they both mean the same thing anyway. --[[User:Talos|Talos]] 00:42, 28 December 2005 (EST)

: Yeah, I definitely agree with you. However, the best screencap I could find was the one where Anders didn't have his shirt on (during his makeout session with Tory in the pilot's bunk). -::What's really coincidental is that I used to have a pet salamander by this name (a pun on "salamander"; there were worse ones, like Sir Isaac Newt, Silly Amanda, Newt York, Olivia Newt John, Fig Newt, etc. - I had about 20 of them, and they all had names like this, with Samuel Anders and Sal M.
