I read the article, but I don't think that the lack of a wedding ring on Sam's ring finger can be explained by the only fact that "Taurons are a tattoo oriented culture". | |||
Other married Taurons (William Adama Sr., and Francis, and Atreus too) have both a tattoo, and wedding ring. | |||
It, most likely, Sam's personal choice, perhaps due of his profession? | |||
