| Anybody notice the extra armor on the bow of the Columbia (I think it's her)? It seems that Columbia either got a refit or was part of a subclass that featured heavier armor. --Kregano 17:46, 20 October 2007 (CDT) | | Anybody notice the extra armor on the bow of the Columbia (I think it's her)? | ::Columbia isn't fully armored either. She has more armor than Galactica in a few places, but visible ribbing as well. That really indicates that is like that on purpose. --Serenity 05:57, 21 October 2007 (CDT)

| In that case, why wasn't Galactica later refitted? Her historical status or some other reason? --Kregano 17:02, 21 October 2007 (CDT)

| ::Or historical authenticity and practicality. The ship was being turned into a museum, why up-armor or upgrade to the latest navigation software when it was likely to stay put and not see action for the rest of her days. Why Columbia and Galactica have different degrees of armor cladding ... maybe they were pressed into service early? They were at different stages of completion? Galactica was completed first, and Columbia had additional weak spots armored as a result of lessons learned? As to why the armor wasn't upgraded during the course of the first Cylon war and up to her decommissioning ... who knows. --Fredmdbud 13:36, 27 October 2007 (CDT)

| Based on that one still, it seems the Cylon superweapon is more than a gun. First toying with human emulation? Is that Saul Tigh that Adama sees in the tank? Just a thought. --Spencerian 08:33, 28 October 2007 (CDT)

| |
| According to the radio report, the war ends right as Operation Raptor Talon goes underway. Although we cannot ascertain how the war was going for the Cylons overall, and the lay military personnel wouldn't be totally aware of the strategic situation, Adama and McGavin still seem to see no end in sight for the war. Why then, would Cylon High Command stop the war at this instant, if RDM didn't intend to show the importance of this experiment? That ending the war was preferable to humanity gaining knowledge of their hybrid research is obvious in hindsight, and likely was noticed by Adama after Humanoid Cylons were revealed. Is any of this speculation permissible in the article though?--Emuhunter26 21:39, 17 November 2007 (CST)
